Play/Train Modes & “Ernie” Alarm delay.

Play mode - in play mode the alarm point is moved closer to the edge of the kitchen line nearest the net. The intent being 95% confidence during play that if a tone sounds the person has violated the No Volley Zone, NVZ.

Train mode - In Train mode the alarm point is moved to the outer edge of the kitchen line or slightly beyond.

“Ernie” Alarm delay is as it sounds. When someone does an “Ernie” the alarm sounding is delayed so as not to impact the play of the game. This happens near the ends of the kitchen line.
